This is because amazon are evil. Even though all these books are what is known as Print on Demand (POD), and booksellers do not hold stock (it is called virtual stock), amazon often claim they are out of stock. They do not do this for their own POD books. The cynics claim they do this so authors and publishers jump ship, away from people like Lightning Source, to Amazon themselves. This will just remind them to keep it as stocked. Even though it says out of stock, you should be sent it as per normal. This is their way of screwing competitors over. Amazon. They are taking over the world. But publishers need ’em.
