As the year 2014 draws to a close, I want to talk a little bit about my plans for the coming year. First, I want to apologize for not getting as much content out as I usually do. This is for a variety of reason.
Even though I am pretty open about my atheism to everyone except maybe the people at my part-time job, I still sometimes feel like I live two lives. I have one life with my wife, kids, family, and friends, and another life online. Well, real life is distracting me from my online life again.
A while ago, I created a Facebook page specifically for Dangerous Talk, but it really didn’t take off the way I was hoping it would for a variety of reasons. For starters, I mainly posted there at 2am and as a result fewer people saw those posts on their feeds. Also, I had one other content creator and he was busy with his own stuff and didn’t post there that often either. But mainly I think the problem was that most people don’t know what Dangerous Talk is. The name alone could mean anything. It just isn’t descriptive enough to people outside of my blog.
Did you know that there is an atheist who is putting together a list of all the atheist blogs? Yeah, the Atheist Blogroll is a pretty good site for finding new and interesting atheist bloggers.

I have been blogging for a while now and over the course of time it seems I’ve written quite a lot about Christmas for a variety of platforms. It never really gets old either. Christians continue to fight back in their imagined “War on Christmas.” In an attempt to bolster our supply lines (as it were), I have created this archive of a bunch of articles and blog posts about Christmas. Recently r/atheism was taken off of the front page of reddit.com. Lots of people are placing blame in lots of different directions, but at the end of the day it doesn’t much matter to me. My issue with r/atheism has always been that they frown upon self-promotion and even after the moderator shake-up, that didn’t change.
