If you have an interest in education and science, then you should know that the Next Generation Science Standards are available for public comment.
I’ve been reviewing this project for over a year now and am pretty pleased with the standards. It’s not perfect, but then I think all subjects should be subordinate to science, everything learned is useful in science… not the other way round.
Anyway, take a look and if you see anything that bears comment, fill out the survey. You can also let me know. I’m preparing a rather more comprehensive response.
And no, this is not a chance for anyone to try and sneak intelligent design or mistaken ideas about science into here. Not gonna happen.
