• Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Facebook ‘Likes’

    I have a lot of Facebook friends and while most of them are atheists, some of them are not. One person on my friend list posted a religious picture comment and I think it is worth having a conversation about:

    Jesus doesn’t care if you ‘share’ or ‘like’ a comment or picture. Even if you believe all the Christian nonsense, why would God care if you mindlessly hit ‘like’ or ‘share’ on some religious comment? Is God really that vain that he thinks Facebook is about him?

    It would be different if these things actually had some content to them, but they don’t. If you are sharing this crap on your Facebook wall, it is a good bet that everyone on your friend list knows your religion or can see it in the “about” section. So what is the point of it, really?

    Still, I do like the idea of spreading an inspirational message. But I want my message to be an actual message… a humanist message. Perhaps my message will even be in sheep’s clothing. Let’s see if we can get religious believers to help spread a secular message:
