Since we’ve been dealing with a certain bogus claim here, I would like to take a moment to praise the film The Invisible War:
I have watched it, and it would wring tears from a stone. The sheer extent of rape and abuse in the US military, and above all the cover-up that runs all the way to the top. This is one of the best pieces of investigative journalism I have seen in a while.
Another thing for my American readers to ponder. A while back I discussed how solidarity is in our self-interest. Well, ask yourself this: what else might a military willing to cover this up be willing to cover up? What might a military willing to do this to its end be willing to do civilians?
