In case you don’t, here’s a sad refresher:
Yeah, he’s the guy who said that evolution and science were “lies straight from the pits of hell.” He’s also on the House Science Committee.
Turns out, there’s a petition asking his removal from said committee and here’s what they have to say:
Rep. Paul Broun publically (sic) and vocally has stated that he does not agree with the most basic tenets of scientific process and critical thought. He is incompetent scientifically and damages the Committee and its purpose with his presence.
We the undersigned respectfully request Rep. Broun’s removal from the committee immediately.
So far, they’re flirting with 50k signatures.
While I’m not sure online petitions are effective, hop on over there and lend the petition your name and comment if you’re so inclined. Here’s the link.
