I recently came upon a quote from Mohandas Gandhi* and I found it very inspiring. It also just so happens that I agree very much with this, and for many years I’ve tried to do exactly this.
“Never Apologize For Being Correct
Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you
for speaking the truth. For being correct. For being you.Never apologize for being correct,
or for being years ahead of your time.If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind.
Speak your mind.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth.”
~Mohandas Gandhi
* I tried looking this quote up in anthologies of Gandhi’s writings and could find nothing, so I’m not entirely sure it is by him. This quote is very often attributed to him though, but if anyone knows for sure, and where I might find the original quote, please let me know. Even if not said by Gandhi, this is still true, and is a great quote, nonetheless.
