When the C of E ruled on women bishops, I was unimpressed by the humbugs who lined up to complain. I was especially unimpressed by the fact that people who wouldn’t set foot inside the church except at gunpoint had fierce views on the subject. It appears that the situation was even sillier than I thought. The original position was not even about not having women bishops, but for having women bishops but with a proviso that those who wanted a male bishop, could opt to be supervised by one.
So this whole thing is even more ridiculous than I thought previously.
