Here is a recent message from God to the city of Windsor, Ontario:
The city of Windsor has a blanket of darkness over it and When we raise the Christian flag, Jesus will command the angels to lift the four corners of that blanket over our city. So the SON can shine through and eyes of understanding will be open. They will know that Jesus is the answer. Amen!! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!!
The Christian flag in question is part of the hooplah surrounding the March for Jesus, an annual walkies undertaken in various places worldwide since 1987, and now for the fifth year running in Windsor. Last year, the organizers were able to talk the city council into letting them fly a “Christian flag” – frequently described by the fanbase as “bloodstained”, for some strange reason, though it looked perfectly clean in the picture – over City Hall for the week surrounding their walkies. This year, they wanted to do it again.
Well, sometimes the voice of reason actually gets heard.
Local protesters, including the Windsor Area Rational Free-Thinkers League (WARFTL) got organized and complained to the city on reasonable grounds – how very very reasonable can be seen by examining their report on last year’s flag-raising extravaganza. The protest succeeded; permission for the flag-raising was rescinded, as reported and confirmed on the excellent Canadian Atheist website. The good guys won.
So all power to the forces for reason in Windsor, Ontario. Though I can’t help wondering if the whacko message about blankets and angels might also have given the city council second thoughts….
