Local print media – “COLTS stands firm on atheist ad”

David Singleton, writing for the Times-Tribune, published a story following today’s County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) board meeting. I attended the meeting thinking that COLTS would reconsider its refusal of the “Atheists.” bus ad sponsored by the NEPA Freethought Society …but my hopes were shattered when Timothy Hinton — one of COLTS’ solicitors — said that COLTS is standing by its original decision to refuse our ads.

…and weigh in in the comments section because it is getting quite silly. Once again, people aren’t realizing that this is a free speech issue and not a religious argument. The whole point of this ad was to be as inoffensive as possible and, for some reason, the NEPA Freethought Society is being labeled as being antagonistic and a ‘hate group’ by some commenters.
We’re not giving up.
