One of the most abused and exploited bits of science ever is quantum theory. New age woo-masters like Deepak Chopra spew mangled versions of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle and other quantum effects to justify claims about consciousness and immortality. Shameless frauds and wackadoos aside, there is also a lot of confusion about what quantum physics and relatively mean. To effectively refute the nonsense and clear misconceptions, you really need a physicist, and now Skeptic Ink has one.
