Oh my. Beijing is getting a new building. Construction scaffolding has created an… er… interesting situation. See for yourself:

The People’s Daily, the leading Chinese newspaper and mouthpiece for the ruling Communist Party, is getting a new headquarters. Its home-to-be is under construction in Beijing, and so far the scaffolding-covered building looks a lot like a giant … well, see for yourself. Users on Sina Weibo, China’s Twitter equivalent, are predictably amused by the massive erection — or at least they were, until censors blocked links to photos of the unfinished building. On the bright side, the big penis complements the nearby building “The Underpants,” the nickname for the headquarters of TV broadcaster CCTV.
Hmmmm.
