From the Telegraph: Three men were forcably removed from a festival because they were too handsome and women would likely be unable to resist them.
Huh? I’ve lived a long time and have somehow been able to control myself around good looking men. However, these men must have been extraordinary so. Evidently. Huh.
The delegates from the United Arab Emirates were in attendance at the Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, when religious police officers stormed the stand and evicted the men because “they are too handsome,” according to the Arabic language newspaper, Elaph.
“A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the Commission [for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices] members feared female visitors could fall for them,” Elaph reported.
I’m speechless. So. Many. Questions.
How old were these women who evidently couldn’t bear “falling” for one of these men? I wonder what the dudes around the three men felt like as these gorgeous men were led away. It couldn’t have been good on their ego. I’d have loved to see the sanctimonious faces of the ensemble dragging them away.
What’s the back story?
I wonder if any of the teen heart throbs (like Justin Bieber) tour there? Probably not. I wonder if they have any equivalents to Bieber?I don’t know of one adolescent female who hasn’t “fallen” for someone somewhere along the line.
