• Half a BILLION dollars found in Israel’s Western Wall

That’s the good news. The bad? The checks may bounce.

Forget the lottery – Israel’s Western Wall is where the real jackpot is.

A worshipper at the Western Wall in Jerusalem found 507 checks for $1 million each in an envelope, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch – who oversees the wall – told The Associated Press.

The checks — which came from Nigeria, Europe, Asia and the United States – were not addressed to anyone and won’t be able to be cashed. Rabinovitch says that similar checks previously placed in the wall have bounced.

So… people are visiting the Wailing Wall, inserting checks for a million dollars, and then… what?

Rabinovitch says that the people writing the checks “wanted to give all they had to the Creator of the universe.”

    Ah. Makes total sense now.
