Victor Stenger, the great physicist and atheist author, passed away this past Wednesday.
I met him briefly at Skepticon 3 years ago, and told him that his book God the Failed Hypothesis had a tremendous influence on me. In fact, I’d say that it was the first book I read of a critical nature about religion.
Stenger will certainly be missed by the entire community of atheists and freethinkers, and his ideas and writings will live on for many years to come.
