If you’ve been following the government shutdown in the U.S. you may have noticed that it can be tricky to stay on top of the story, as news of the next major impasse comes down the internet pipes every day.
Thankfully, the folks over at the Slate Political Gabfest have taken to doing a daily audio wrap-up which makes it fairly easy to keep up with the dysfunctional shit-show that is the 113th U.S. Congress. They are a bit slanted to the left of center, but then so am I, of late. The GOP sent a load of far-right anti-science denialists (many of whom reject climate-change and evolution by natural selection) to D.C. and now should anyone be surprised that they turn out to be irrational denialists on political and arithmetic matters as well?
