Two days ago, Belgian philosopher Maarten Boudry, known for his criticism of religion, posted this at the end of a status update in which he criticised left-oriented intellectuals who defend Islam (translated):
“About the claim that Muslim communities nowadays “are not more or less violent than Christian or secular groups”, I would like to suggest to my colleagues the following experiment: take 1 Bible, 1 Quran and 1 Origin of Species. Make a campfire. Put the video footage online and wait [for reactions]. Good luck!”
