Well, speak of the devil. Just yesterday I posted a Ray Comfort video making a laughing stock of himself along with Kirk Cameron, and today a video of him surfaces trivializing the deaths of young children and using the incident in the service of his ultra-right wing religious agenda.
And what’s happened is that we’ve had British redcoats invading our nation and shoot our youth through the heart. Men like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, who now went to meet his maker, have come in with their smooth English accents, have convinced millions of young people that they’re nothing but primates. There’s no ultimate right. There’s no ultimate wrong. And when that happens to a nation, when they make them into God haters, something dies within a nation and that’s what’s happened in America. When a man can go to an elementary school and shoot people, including children, to death and then shoot himself, he doesn’t fear God in the slightest.
Said the man with a New Zealand accent.
Those horrible comments are at about minute 4 of the video.
Aside from the new element of racism and naming names, there is really not much new in what Comfort is saying. After all, haven’t we seen time and again the religious right blaming the atheists and atheism for the shooting, and each time the liberal Christians looking the other way, in essence condoning the criminalization of atheists?
Somehow I don’t see them speak out this time either, true to their designation of “enablers”.
