• Churches violate the law in their hundreds

Welcome to the age where churches go on record violating the US tax code. Every individual, or organization, has the right to free expression under the constitution. However, as nonprofits, churches are bound by a tax code, under which they are bound not to be openly partisan, and not to endorse political candidates.

Now, however, hundreds of them have participated in what the call “Pulpit Freedom Sunday 2012”, challenging the US government to enforce the tax code. Obviously this brazen move has been calculated. They knew all too well that the Internal Revenue Service would not go after them, which has turned out to be the case. But can you imagine what would happen if a non-religious charity organization did something like this?

The reason they are doing it, of course, is that Obama is not Christian enough for them. They clearly are hellbent on getting as much of their doctrine into law that we all have to follow as possible.

This is just one example, out of many, of double standards favoring religion. But we are not supposed to mention it, lest we be accused of being crybabies.

No need to say, that made me much more passionate about what I believe in and what I stand for. Read more...
