Rev. Michael Brewster of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania<\/a> has accepted my “Does God Exist” debate challenge which was recently posted on this website<\/a> and reprinted in The Times Leader<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I had last spoken with Rev. Brewster during my protest of the National Day of Prayer “Circle the Square with Prayer” event on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre<\/a>. Rev. Brewster agreed to debate, if I recall correctly, in his church and said that he would get back with me. Today, I received a follow-up e-mail from his secretary noting that the debate will be August 31 of 2013 and that details will later be fleshed out.<\/p>\n

Stay tuned for more information pertaining to this upcoming debate. I plan to heavily promote\/advertise the debate which aims to be open to the public and recorded. I hope to see some familiar and new faces from Pennsylvania and neighboring states — both religious and non-religious — in attendance for this historic event; this debate will be first of its kind, to my knowledge, taking place in Wilkes-Barre.<\/p>\n

This will be my third recorded debate following two [debate one<\/a>, debate two<\/a>] which were streamed online and the first which will allow for a seated audience.<\/p>\n
