• Things to Check Out

    Lately there have been two articles published about fiction in ancient history that are worth reading: Neil Godfrey’s Did Josephus Fabricate the Origins of the Jewish Rebellion Against Rome? and Matthew Ferguson’s Allegorical Characters with Common Names in the Alexander Romance and the Gospels. Both of them do a superb job of discussing and relaying what scholarship has discovered (and is continuing to discover) about the ancient context in which the gospels were written.

Click here to get started! Also: your local campaign center could always use more people. Here in my own state (Arizona) our primary is over, but we are not done: I know that we are about to undertake some campaigning efforts in California, for example. Point being: there’s always a way to participate, and it is worth it.
