I’ve lived in Alabama my whole life (25+ years). What’s it like there? Well, it’s economically depressed, filled with backwards attitudes (especially in some of the more rural counties) and overall just lacks the kind of solid opportunities for forward movement in my life.
So, I decided to pick up and move to Phoenix, Arizona. I’m here now, and have my fingers crossed for a great future. I previously worked for the Alabama Department of Corrections (and left on good terms with the department), but I’m not necessarily looking to go back into that line of work (although I am open to security work).
Anyway, that’s why the blog has been slow lately and will probably continue to be slow for the next few weeks. If any of my blog readers know of any jobs in the area (maybe someone reading this owns a company in that area?), feel free and leave a comment.
