I came back from Conflux 9 with a big pile of work to deal with, not least checking the page proofs for <em>50 Great Myths About Atheism<\/em>, and indexing the book. Udo and I will be working on the book pretty intensely over the next little while, trying to remove whatever rough edges remain and producing that all-important well-structured\u00a0index (this alone is a time -consuming job, probably a few days of full-time work). I also have quite a load\u00a0of accumulated work to do for <em>The Journal of Evolution and Technology<\/em>, I have the annual general meeting of the Hunter Writers Centre coming up (I am chair of this small arts organisation&#8217;s board of directors), I have some pieces to write for publication and\u00a0some talks to give over the next few weeks, and of course my ordinary life involving family, friends, a house to look after, etc., etc., doesn&#8217;t stop just because there&#8217;s a lot to do with, say, the books I&#8217;m involved with.<\/p>\n<p>Do check out The Hellfire Club now and then, but if you don&#8217;t see a lot of blogging going on through May\u00a0that&#8217;s why. I&#8217;ll still report on Conflux at some point, and I&#8217;m not going away.
