Intelligence Unbound: The Future of Uploaded and Machine Minds<\/em>, to be\u00a0published by Wiley-Blackwell. We’re co-editing this, and we’ve put together a strong list of contributors, all of whom should be working on their manuscripts even now: only one is being republished in its original form,\u00a0some will be\u00a0based on\u00a0previously published articles, but reworked for the book, while the majority will be written especially for it.<\/p>\nIt’s closed to contributors, so please don’t ask if you can submit something. We’ve gone to a lot of trouble to get our line-up, which turned out to be needed to get a green light for the book. Quite a lot of work is done, but there’s a lot more to go. I’m looking forward to really sinking my teeth into this with Damien, the contributors, and the folks at Wiley-Blackwell.<\/p>\n
As we get closer to submitting the\u00a0manuscript, I’ll announce more about who is in the book: while Damien and I are currently\u00a0in the process of signing our contracts, I’d like to make sure there are no hitches with any contributors before I announce their names publicly. But\u00a0I can safely say now that not everyone will be sympathetic to ideas of\u00a0uploading and machine intelligence,\u00a0that contributors will come from a range of backgrounds and viewpoints, and that we have some big names in the mix.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
