50 Great Myths About Atheism – latest
I made a mistake (yes, it sometimes happens!) back here when I reported that 50 Great Myths About Atheism had been through copyediting. At that stage, it had been given only a quick in-house check of the basics. Alas, there was still a thorough copyedit to come.
So, Udo Schuklenk and I have been working through that process throughout March (among the other things on our respective plates). This has made me even busier in March than I had expected, which is one reason why I’ve been a bit quiet these last couple of weeks in particular. But I’m glad to have gone through the process, as our copy editor was superb at her job. She turned up many little errors and/or infelicities, each of which provided an opportunity for improvement. At the same time, just having an extra run through the text after setting it aside for a few weeks allowed Udo and me an opportunity to strengthen it in small ways of our own. I think 50 Great Myths About Atheism is a considerably better book as a result of the work that’s gone in over these weeks. As far as I know, we’re still well on track for a September 2013 publication date, and I have even more confidence that this will be a strong book.
Next up should indeed be page proofing and indexing!
