Atheism as spiritual celibacy
Perhaps first among the lies promoted by religion is the idea that an all-loving, powerful God is a live option. It’s not. It’s ruled out.
I fell for the first God I met. My parents introduced him to me. Later, I googled him. He had a past and I dumped him. Now, I’m spiritually celibate because I can’t find a god worth worshiping. There could be one, and I’m a religious person at heart, but given the facts on the ground, it would be reckless to commit without more information.
Earth is drenched in blood. Any creator God determined what is possible, even what could follow from the free choices of humans. If God could have created a kinder world and did not, he is a sadist.
