Open Secrets maintains a list of top-tier Congressional members by campaign cash on hand. They also have a summary page for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Here is what it looks like when you combine the cash on hand variable from both pages:
I would have included Hillary Clinton on the chart, but with over $42 million in hard money, that would’ve messed up the vertical axis.
Of course, Trump could simply take out some (more) loans against his existing properties. Alternatively, he could continue to try to live off free media by spouting off increasingly shocking quotes. Either way, this isn’t going to end well for him.
This makes me so happy, it feels almost as if the universe knows it’s my birthday.
