Meanwhile in Muskogee County, the Tulsa World reports that a gun shop has declared itself a “Muslim free establishment” in defiance of Oklahoma Civil Rights laws.
§25-1402. Discriminatory practice.
It is a discriminatory practice for a person to deny an individual the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of a “place of public accommodation” because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
(The preceding section contains a few specified exceptions, none of which appear to apply here.)
As it happens, this particular gun shop and range is only about an hour’s drive away from the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General, Office of Civil Rights Enforcement, located at 15 W. 6th Street in Tulsa. They have a handy form that you can fill out if you happen to be denied service on account of your religious affiliation.
So, there is always that. Somebody please inform CAIR.
