Part of the American Atheists pitch to CPAC is that they cannot afford to lose irreligious voters. I’m not entirely confident of that, given the data trends over time. Seems more likely to me that the GOP will have to find some way to stay in power by gerrymandering districts (or some similarly antidemocratic maneuver) since the none vote has been trending away from them for decades.
