The God-fearing folks over at the American Family Association have put together a useful tool to help people like me find fellow freethinkers, church-state separationists, and LGBT activists. They called it “Bigotry Map” presumably because it was put together by religious bigots for the sake of promoting religious bigotry. It features blue icons for humanist groups, red “A” pins for atheist groups, and little crossed-out crosses for groups who believe in religious liberty for Christians and non-Christians alike.
Profoundly proud to say that both of the groups which I actively support here in OKC made it on to AFA’s radar, but as James Croft mentioned earlier today, the map remains woefully incomplete. I could easily name a handful of freethought groups which AFA missed from my home state, not to mention the largest LGBT and civil rights advocacy groups here, which I’ve listed below for AFA’s convenience.
