For most of us, secularism is an avocation, the sort of activism that we do on the side whenever we get the chance, like this:

A select few, however, get the opportunity to dedicate themselves to secularism for their entire career, and Rob Boston is one of those chosen few. He has been in the trenches fighting the religious right since 1987, and his expertise in the field is only rarely rivaled, as I discovered for myself when we interviewed him recently for the Godcast.
I’m particularly pleased to announce that Rob will be speaking at the annual membership meeting for our local chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, on Constitution Day, exactly one week hence.
