Last night on TRMS, Rachel Maddow tried to put yesterday’s events in historical perspective by timelining major U.S. shootings:
I call attention to this here for two reasons. Firstly, if this timeline is accurate it should be disturbing, because it seems the mean time between major mass shootings is trending steeply downward. Secondly, if inaccurate (or otherwise misleading) it should be critisized as such.
